Search for verified target genes
To search for experimentally verified target genes of a PPAR subtype, please click the hyperlink "Verified target genes" on the menu, select the PPAR subtype and then click the submit button. You can also search by gene symbol. Enter NCBI gene symbol in the textbox and submit the query. The search will return the following items: gene symbol, species, tissue/cell type, regulation direction, reference PubMed ID.
Search for predicted target genes
To search for a predicted target gene, please click the hyperlink "Predicted target genes" on the menu, enter NCBI gene symbol in the textbox and submit the query. If the gene is predicted as a PPAR target gene, the query will return P-value and confidence level of the prediction. A larger P value means a higher confidence. Putative PPREs in the 5 kb TSS flanking region is also presented.
Download data
To download data in the database, click the hyperlink "Downloads" in the menu. Users can download datasets of experimentally verified PPAR target genes as well as computational predicted target genes. We also provide hyperlinks to download the high-throughput experimental datasets used in our prediction model.
